In the following correctly worked addition sum, A,B,C and D represent different digits, and all the digits in the sum are different. What is the sum of A,B,C and D?

If we take that A, B, C and D CANNOT take values of 5, 4 and 3 then we get (A, C) = (1, 2) or (2, 1) ; B=9 and D=1
Hence, A+B+C+D=13 !!

If two or more thoughts intersect, there has to be a point!

57+86 = 143 is another possible solution though, which would mean A+B+C+D=22.
Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.
