Crossing the Ravine

A circus woman has two bars of gold, one in each hand. She is being chased by thugs who want to steal the gold from her. They are right behind her.

She reaches a wide ravine. A plank lies across the ravine. There is also a sign nearby which reads: 'DANGER. PLANK ONLY SUPPORTS TEN STONE.'

The thugs each weigh twelve stone; they can't cross. The woman weighs nine stone so she can cross but the bars of gold each weigh a stone each.

The woman gets across with the gold. But how does she do it?

The "CIRCUS" woman juggles the bars of gold, so that only one bar of gold is in her hands at one time, thus, vis-e-vis, quantum physics, tardis, she does not break the 10 stone weight limit. Thank You, thank you very much. JELLY BABIES!!!!

Yes, and there was a thunderstorm yesterday, and it also hailed with it, bringing hailstones as big as ten pence coins. The telly wouldn't work also because of the satellite signal blockage.

What a day! And to think I was sitting outside in my grandma's garden (fathers day visits) making daisy chains in the beautiful weather and then it started to rain!
