10. What is the pH of a solution whose concentration of hydrogen ions is 6.5 × 10-8 moles per liter?
11. Paul is a scientist who measured the intensity of an earthquake to be 121,000 times the reference intensity. If Paul needs to report a Richter scale reading to Albert, a newspaper reporter, what number should Paul tell Albert?
12. An earthquake was reported to have a Richter number of 6. How does the intensity of the earthquake approximately compare with the reference intensity?
13. A certain material decays at a rate of 0.92% per year. How much of 260 grams of the material will be left in 11 years?

Hi;
Welcome to the forum.
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

There is also a practice quiz at the end of this page: Exponential Growth and Decay

Hi Damian1234;

I have the answers to most of those but I would not use them. How do I know those answers are right? I would not put just any answer down on a test. If I am going to flunk then I am going to with my answers. There is only one way to know for sure, that is to do it yourself.
Tell you a story: We had Chemistry exam and the whole class was afraid of it. So at lunchtime before the exam some students managed to get the questions and the answers from a guy who had just taken it. They went about busily memorizing those answers he gave. I knew that kid was a moron so I did not bother memorizing his nonsense. Test came, we all took it and I got 28. We needed 65 to pass. Turns out the rest of the class got 17 cause that is what the guy they copied from got.
Teacher could not flunk all of us idiots so he had to grade on the curve. I got the highest grade because of my stupendous 28.
Why not use the page MathsIsFun suggested to you?

Then post the ones above that you can not do. Show where you are stuck and someone will help you.
