I am not sure about the rest of the world, but I don't think there are any such examinations at High school level in India. The matriculation examination is crucial, thereafter, the pre-university (or higher secondary). A student can pursue a diploma after matriculation, but most professional courses like engineering, medicine, law, accountancy etc. can be taken up only on completion of pre-university, two years of education after matriculation (normally, students appear for pre-university examination at the age of sixteen).

Hey! I am back after sitting for the selection test. It is the school holidays right now in Singapore! I am sure to have more time now onwards! I am so happy!
