Nokia and Apple settle patent dispute

Nokia has announced that Apple has agreed to pay royalties for use of its technologies, ending the long-running legal dispute between the two firms. The Finnish company sued Apple for patent infringements in 2009 but Apple in turn accused Nokia of infringing its patents. It is good to see the Americans finally admitting that they are wrong and agreeing to settle up.

Jane, I do admire your tenacity. Is this not your fourth or fifth statement like this?

As we have many American members, I feel I must defend their integrity. So here goes:

Americans are never wrong. It just seems that way. I have read that Americans are a bright, industrious, charming and good looking race of creatures, particularly the males.

Anyway, thanks for sharing that article.

Indeed so.

I saw a graphic some months ago of "who was suing who" in telecom land, and it was a very tangled web.

BTW, isn't Nokia half American now (Microsoft deal)?

Bobby, I don't know what the problem is. Apple is an American company, isn't it? neutral

Yes, it is. Put together by the great Steve Wozniak.

Thought you might be playfully bashing Americans, so I was playing back. My apologies for misunderstanding.

Oh, okay. No problem. I should learn to phrase my sentences more carefully next time to avoid misunderstandings. smile

Hi JaneFairfax;

I have no problem with the way you express yourself. I rather enjoy it.

I guess it is up to me to be clearer.
