12688 is a bobbym number. It contains my age, my month of birth. my weight, my IQ, and what happened to me in many casinos.

That's a very interesting number then, Bobby! I'll have to consider including it in your YOB puzzle somehow. smile

Hi phrontister;

It is not interesting to anyone but me and maybe my mother. Sorry for mentioning it.

Hi Bobby,

I've lost interest in your number. I'll ask my mother to see if she's interested in it.

Well let me know if your mother does find it interesting. That would be cool. Perhaps your family are long lost m's. We could be distant relatives. There could be m's in Australia, that thought has fired my imagination. I confess, I will not get much sleep tonight because of it.

Re: Add 13 more and post it forever.

I'm very sorry, Bobby, but my mother's lack of interest in your number even exceeds mine.

Perhaps your family are long lost m's. We could be distant relatives. There could be m's in Australia.

If I believe that the theory of evolution is factual and that we all stem from some blob or other, or if I believe that mankind sprang from the Genesis chapter 2 creation of Adam and Eve, then you and I, and everybody else, are all related (though fairly distantly, even speaking relatively) to the m family.

But if I believe that we evolved from individual separately-occurring blobs (or some-such), or if I believe that the Genesis chapter 1 creation of mankind was a separate one that preceded Adam and Eve's creation, then there is a much greater chance that you and I are not related at all. And more's the pity, should I say.

Many brilliant minds that are 100% convinced of their version of these concepts present their view in plausible-sounding, shatter-proof arguments promoting their slant...and they can't all be right.

I'll have to leave the maths of the chances of us being related to each other to you.

And I'm sorry if this is affecting your sleep.

Hi phrontister;

All I can say is I do not blame your Mom for not being interested in my number. But I will say this, many people have objected to sharing an ancestry with monkeys. That was bad enough, but I will not bow to the notion that me and "The Blob" ( circa 1958 ) are related. Its heinous attempts to consume Steve McQueen prove it is no distant relative of mine.

Re: Add 13 more and post it forever.

Hi Bobby,

You're more closely related to the Blob than you may know:-

- 1958 (the year of "The Blob") factorises into 2x11x89...and 2x1x1x8x9 = 144 (gross!)
- 12688 (your number) factorises into 2x2x2x2x13x61...and 2x2x2x2x1x3x6x1 = 288 (twice as gross!!)
- Your shortened name 'bob' is part of 'The Blob' (my shortened name isn't!). The remaining letters are thel, whose anagram 'helt' is Danish for 'totally'. And so 'The Blob' = 'totally bob'.

eek

That does sound plausible but it must have a flaw somewhere. So, instead of being a descendant of "The Blob," I am "The Blob." A large gelatinous mass that would eat Steve McQueen who was pound for pound one of our finest actors.

Wait, I think I found the flaw in your logic. It says here, "The Blob" was nothing more than 5200 boxes of raspberry jello dissolved in warm water stirred constantly with a large spoon. It also says right here in the book, "The Blob Hoax," that right after the movie the crew ate it. It had no offspring.

Re: Add 13 more and post it forever.

I have two theories about that, Bobby.

1. "The Blob Hoax" is just an attention-diverter authored by the Blob. Does it say the author is 'Helt Bob', by any chance!? If not, the Blob is probably masquerading under some other pseudonym.

2. The Blob may have no direct offspring but the crew who ate it does. That would account for the rising obesity problem in many parts of the world. The Blob is everywhere!  eek

Re: Add 13 more and post it forever.

So you are saying that that the "Blob Hoax" is actually being perpetrated by the Blob himself. In the movie the Blob was portrayed as a brainless glob of goo. Although such a pile of pus would probably be smart enough to author a best seller like "The Blob Hoax." He is probably not smart enough to perpetuate a hoax and moderate on a forum at the same time. One or the other yes, but both no.

I urge you to no longer view obese people as Blobettes. The Blob, may he rest in peace is gone forever. Although we may be saddened by his absence it is wishful thinking to believe I am him.

Hi Bobby,

Why did you want 12948?

Btw, 12948 + 13 = 12961...so the next 3 after 12948 derailed.
